His expertise in risk management and income strategies helps clients build stability and confidence as they transition into retirement and beyond.

Seth’s planning philosophy centers around unwinding complexity and proactively preparing for the unexpected. Whether it’s designing income strategies, structuring efficient estate and legacy plans, or protecting wealth through thoughtful risk mitigation, Seth ensures every element of a client’s financial plan aligns with their goals and values.

Seth began his career as a Financial Advisor with Northwestern Mutual and spent a decade as a Senior Advisor with Hornor, Townsend & Kent (HTK)/1847 Financial before co-founding the firm. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Philadelphia University and holds the Series 65 license as well as his Life, Accident, and Health insurance licenses.

Bruce Ohrenich, CFP®

Partner & Financial Planner

With more than 45 years in the financial services industry, Bruce brings a rare depth of experience and perspective to the clients he serves. Over the course of his career, he has guided clients through shifting market events, evolving investment and insurance landscapes, and changing retirement needs — all while remaining at the forefront of the industry’s move toward comprehensive, goals-based financial planning.

As Managing Partner and CFP® professional, Bruce leads with a proactive, team-driven approach designed to identify challenges and keep clients’ plans aligned with their life goals. He specializes in helping pre-retirees and retirees navigate the complexities of the next chapter — from final-stage wealth accumulation and retirement income strategies to risk management and estate planning. Bruce believes that successful planning extends beyond numbers; it’s about guiding both the financial and behavioral decisions that shape a confident retirement.

Outside the office, Bruce enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and being outdoors. He has been married to his wife, Tricia, for over 35 years and have two children. Charleston, SC has become their home, but they still spend summers at their family’s historic, Victorian home in Cape May, NJ.

Matthew B. Ohrenich

Matthew B. Ohrenich, CFP®

Financial Planner

Matt specializes in helping high-earning professionals and solopreneurs design financial plans that give them choice — the choice to keep working, scale back, or step away entirely on their own terms. Gone are the days of traditional retirement defined by a single date, age, or by Social Security eligibility. Today’s professionals want to enjoy life now while building toward financial independence and a “work-optional” future. Matt and his team serve as each client’s personal CFO and quarterback, turning complex financial lives into coordinated, actionable plans.

As a CFP® professional, Matt takes a comprehensive approach that integrates every aspect of a client’s financial picture — from cash flow and tax planning to investment management, retirement planning, and more. He proactively collaborates with other professionals when specialized expertise is needed, ensuring every decision supports the broader financial plan. His goal is to reduce complexity, create clarity, and keep clients’ money aligned with their evolving goals so they can focus their time and energy on what matters most to them.

Matt graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina, earning dual degrees in Finance and Risk Management & Insurance. Before Stillwater Private Wealth, he gained his experience at both a leading broker-dealer and a boutique family office in the greater Philadelphia area. He holds the FINRA Series 65 license and lives in Charleston, South Carolina, with his wife and pup.
